Basic knowledge of LED headlights

1. What is LED? (Abbreviation of Light-Emitting-Diode, Chinese: Light-Emitting Diode) is a semiconductor that can convert electrical energy into visible light. It changes the principle of halogen bulb tungsten filament light emission and energy-saving lamp three-color toner light emission, using electric field to emit light. According to analysis, the advantages of LED are very obvious, with long life, high light efficiency, no radiation and low power consumption. Almost all of the LED spectrum is concentrated in the visible light band, and its luminous efficiency can reach 90%!
The principle of LED headlights is that the cold light source emits light, and the principle of "firefly" emits light. The calorific value is very low. No such lamp can match this kind of low calorific value!
Bright, fast and energy-saving is the most remarkable feature of LED headlights! Therefore, LED technology is called the third lighting revolution, and more and more car headlights have adopted LED headlights. Automotive LED headlights are generally 18W-36W/piece, automotive halogen lamps are generally 55W-60W/piece, and automotive xenon lamps are generally 35W-60W/piece.
 2. LED headlight model. The model of the LED headlight and the halogen bulb are in one-to-one correspondence, that is, what type of halogen bulb is on the car, so when modifying the LED, you need to use the same led bulb model. If the model is incorrect, it cannot be installed. Sometimes, even if it is installed, astigmatism (non-condensation) will occur.
LED headlights are divided into:
1) H series: H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H9, H11,
H13, H15, H16 (also known as 5202), etc.;
2) 90 series: 9004 (HB1), 9005 (HB3),
9006 (HB4), 9007 (HB5), etc.;
3) Others: 880/881, 9012 (also called H1R2), etc.
3. The classification of LED headlights is roughly divided into the following categories:
1) According to the input voltage: divided into 12V (9-16V), 12V/24V universal (9-32V), etc.;
2) According to the input power: below 16W, 16-20W, around 24W, around 30W, around 36W, etc.
3) According to LED lamp beads: COB lamp beads, ETI lamp beads, linear lamp beads, flip lamp beads, etc.
4) According to the chip from the region: domestic, Taiwan, American, Korean, Japanese, etc.
5) According to the brand of the chip: CREE, Bridgelux, Osram, Hewlett-Packard, Seoul Semiconductor, Toshiba, Epistar, Shanghai Blu-ray, Guangzhou Puguang, Jingda Optoelectronics, Huacan Optoelectronics and other hundreds of brands!
6) According to the heat dissipation method: fan active heat dissipation, aluminum sheet heat dissipation, heat dissipation band heat dissipation
7) According to the light-emitting surface: single-sided light emitting, double-light emitting light, three-sided light emitting, four-sided light emitting, cylindrical, etc.
8) According to the drive: drive external, drive internal (drive is also called: voltage regulator, stabilizer, driver).
9) Divided according to style: divided into special vehicles, general-purpose and so on.
