Headlights, such as vehicle lighting devices, have always been a very important equipment. In order to ensure the safety of driving at night, headlights have even begun to be regarded as a part of safety equipment.
All along, the vehicle lighting system has been dominated by halogen lamps, and the main reason behind it is that the cost of halogen bulbs is quite low, which not only reduces the manufacturing cost of the car manufacturer, but also allows the owner to repair and replace the maintenance cost is very low. However, halogen bulbs have poor brightness, yellow color temperature, and long service life, which has led to the rise of lighting systems using other light sources.
The upgraded lighting bulb that first entered the automotive industry after the halogen bulb should be regarded as a HID xenon headlight. HID improves the problem of insufficient brightness of halogen bulbs. Although the cost is relatively high, it has met the acceptable range of the market.
However, the HID headlight is still not the best solution. Although the HID brightness is high, it is prone to color temperature differences (some HIDs will be green or red, etc.). Because they rely on the arc to emit light, they are also very controlling the light type. Relying on a set of well-designed dedicated lamps, otherwise the astigmatism will be quite obvious. In addition, HID bulbs require a driver to operate normally, so they occupy a large space and require some time to reach fully normal brightness.
LED headlights have become standard equipment for many models.
